Family Fudge

I found this bad boy at Savers chillin' in one of the knick knack aisles. I had to reach to get it as it was not showcasing itself boldly on the front lines of the deep knick knack shelves.  At first I thought it was a lid for a box or container of some sort but a quick scan of the neighboring knick knacks indicated that this knick knack was riding solo.  Within seconds I knew it was just the kind of word art that would grace my walls at home. 

I found this similar sign on Amazon for less than $8.  Other similar ones say "Families are like fudge, mostly sweet with lots of nuts" so I guess my Saver's version "few nuts" is the more polite, watered down version.  Family members may not be as offended by my sign because everyone knows who those "few" nuts are...these other signs may leave family members wondering "Hey, what does it mean lots of nuts...surely I can't be one of them...".

I have no clue who is the author of said quote but I'm sure she has an uncanny intuition about families and how they operate.  She probably spent a great deal of time in school studying family dynamics while eating chocolate and after a plethora of studying, time, and personal experience she was blessed with this deeply profound analogy of families to fudge.  Thanks to her, we can all feel assured that no family batter is exempt from nuttiness.  Not even supposed perfect families can prevent the nuts from being born and growing into the kind of spice the boring fudge requires to make life interesting...or fatal if you have nut allergies.
